Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanic/maintenance person.
• Technical degree preferred and may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Valid Driver License.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and blueprints/drawings; write routine reports; speak before groups.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and improves Acousti-Cap equipment and process.
• Disassembles and repairs components using hand tools.
• Measures dimensions with micrometers and calipers.
• Tests units to ensure conformance to specs.
• Diagnoses machine malfunctions and plans repairs.
• Performs basic pipefitting and layout tasks.
• Replaces hydraulic and pneumatic parts as needed.
• Works on weekends/holidays when required.
