Lakeshore Learning Materials in Garland, UT is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep our distribution center running safely and reliably. You’ll work with a hands-on team to maintain conveyors, motors, sensors, and related equipment.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse or light industrial settings, tool use, and forklift certification (or willingness to obtain). It’s a fully onsite position with overtime as needed, and Lakeshore offers strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a warehouse, facilities, or light industrial environment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Comfortable in varied physical conditions including heat, cold, dust, noise, elevated heights, and concrete.
• Forklift-certified or willing to obtain certification after hire.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as needed.
• Fully onsite role located in Garland, UT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and related equipment following established procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and mechanical issues on material-handling components.
• Maintain and repair racking, shelving, dock levelers, and overhead doors.
• Complete routine facility maintenance tasks and support janitorial needs as they arise.
• Monitor forklift battery water levels and ensure timely charging; follow safety policies.
