Lakeshore Learning Materials in Garland, UT seeks a Seasonal Maintenance Mechanic to keep our warehouse running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyors, motors, sensors, and related equipment, and support facility tasks as needed.

We're looking for 2+ years in warehouse or light industrial settings, familiarity with hand and power tools, and forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, facilities, or light industrial environment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
• Comfortable working in varied physical conditions including heat, cold, dust, noise, elevated heights, and extended time on concrete surfaces.
• Forklift-certified or willing to obtain certification after hire.
• Able to work occasional overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as the season requires.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and related material‑handling equipment following established procedures and plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and mechanical issues on material‑handling components.
• Maintain and repair racking, shelving, dock levelers, and overhead doors to keep operations moving safely.
• Complete routine facility maintenance tasks and support janitorial needs as they arise.
• Monitor forklift battery water levels and ensure timely, correct charging.
• Follow all safety and loss‑prevention policies and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment for the whole team.
