Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic - Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

• Have working knowledge of all trades: electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC, and work on associated systems and equipment.
• Be capable of following manufacturers' assembly sketches, drawings, and simple blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate chillers, absorbers, Co-Gen systems.
• Have good knowledge of boiler operations and troubleshooting.
• Perform plumbing work such as valves, traps, etc.
• Conduct water testing and chemical treatments.
• Install, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, fans, etc.
• Maintain, repair, and adjust heating and cooling systems controls.
• Maintain, repair, and operate San-i-Pak machine sterilizers.
• Repair rolling equipment such as beds, stretchers, crash carts, etc.
• Have good electrical wiring knowledge and be capable of replacing parts.
• Maintain and repair fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Install and repair hardware on doors, windows, lockers, and other equipment.
• Maintain and repair car wash, dishwashing machines, kettles, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school graduation preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience. Must have working knowledge of operation and maintenance of all equipment components in the power plant. Strong skills across all trades.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
