Job description

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic - Brooklyn.

Responsibilities include:

• Possess working knowledge of all trades: electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and associated systems and equipment.
• Capable of following manufacturers' assembly sketches, drawings, and simple blueprints.
• Operate chillers, absorbers, Co-Gen systems.
• Knowledge of boiler operations and troubleshooting.
• Perform plumbing work: valves, traps, etc.
• Conduct water testing and chemical treatments.
• Install, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, fans, etc.
• Maintain and adjust heating and cooling systems and controls.
• Maintain and repair sterilizers like San I Pak machines.
• Repair rolling equipment: beds, stretchers, crash carts, etc.
• Electrical wiring knowledge; capable of replacing parts.
• Maintain and repair fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Install and repair hardware on doors, windows, lockers, and other equipment.
• Maintain and repair car washes, dishwashers, kettles, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience. Must have working knowledge in operation and maintenance of all equipment components in the power plant. Excellent skills across all trades.
