Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic - Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate should have a working knowledge of all trades: electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC, and work on associated systems and equipment. Capable of following manufacturers' assembly sketches, drawings, and simple blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate chillers, absorbers, Co-Gen systems.
• Have good knowledge of boiler operations and troubleshooting.
• Perform plumbing work such as valves, traps, etc.
• Conduct water testing and chemical treatments.
• Install, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, motors, fans, etc.
• Maintain, repair, and adjust heating and cooling system controls.
• Maintain, repair, and adjust San I Pak machine sterilizers.
• Repair rolling equipment including beds, stretchers, crash carts, etc.
• Possess good electrical wiring knowledge and capability to replace parts.
• Maintain and repair fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Install and repair hardware on doors, windows, lockers, and other equipment.
• Maintain and repair car washes, dishwashing machines, kettles, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience. Must have a working knowledge of operation and maintenance of all equipment components in the power plant. Strong proficiency in all trades is required.
