Job summary

Wonderful Citrus in Delano, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive/predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements on automated food-processing equipment while prioritizing safety, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include wiring installations for new machines, diagnosing failures, replacing components, and planning layouts. Must be prepared for a rotating 4x10 schedule; high school or GED required with a tech degree and experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree and 3+ years of related experience preferred (or equivalent).
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret information.

Responsibilities

• Install power supply wiring and conduit for machines and robots.
• Connect power supply wires and cables between machines.
• Diagnose malfunctioning transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace components.
• Test machinery and discuss malfunctions with maintenance staff.
• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, and motors.
• Plan wiring layouts and install conduits and electrical apparatus.
• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Identify problems and locate faulty components.
• Open to off-shifts and rotating 4x10 schedule.
