Job summary

Wonderful Citrus in Delano, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated food processing equipment, upholding safety, food quality and machine efficiency.

You will install power wiring and control components, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, replace faulty parts, test machinery and support a rotating 4x10 schedule. A high school diploma or GED is required; a technical degree with 3+ years in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical degree with 3+ years in production/manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business items.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install power supply wiring and conduit for machinery and equipment.
• Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged wires and cables.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
• Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
• Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Identifies problems and isolates faulty components with rapid understanding of distribution of Input and Output as well as location of field devices driven by such.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be open to work off shifts and a rotating 4x10 schedule

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Technical degree and 3+ years experience in production/manufacturing
