Job summary

JLL in Detroit, MI is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in our facilities. This union, 2nd shift role requires hands-on experience and the ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

The technician will work with the team to perform preventive and repair tasks, conduct inspections, and use Corrigo CMMS to track work orders in real time. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Requires 1–3 years of building repair and maintenance experience
• Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing and related systems
• Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting occupancy and operations
• Perform interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, furniture repair, and door repairs
• Assist operations team in building maintenance and repair tasks
• Move office furniture, equipment and materials as needed
• Replace lighting and ballasts; maintain HVAC coils; change filters and belts
• Use CMMS (Corrigo) to log work and update orders in real time
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
