Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for the 2nd shift to ensure safe, efficient operation of electrical and mechanical systems across multiple facilities in Michigan. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support building systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The role involves installing and repairing electrical controls, monitoring HVAC and refrigeration, and maintaining equipment to keep critical infrastructure running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of trades schooling in electrical design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
• Active Michigan State Electrical Journeyman License (or higher) and valid drivers license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints; basic computer skills in Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching systems, motor controls, and wire single/three-phase motors throughout the facility.
• Run conduit, pull wiring to machinery, and troubleshoot electrical systems to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
• Monitor, repair, and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning, boilers, and HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all building equipment, recording readings and documenting system operations for compliance and reliability.
• Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and replace bearings, seals, and related components as needed.
• Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing, valves, filters, hot water systems, and associated controls.
• Comply with safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and organized workplace.
