Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Romulus, MI to ensure safe, efficient operation of facility electrical and mechanical systems on the 2nd shift. You will troubleshoot complex issues and support HVAC and refrigeration systems in a dynamic industrial environment.

The role combines hands-on electrical work with preventative maintenance across building systems, offering opportunities to expand skills and contribute to reliable operations for our client’s site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
• Active Michigan State Electrical Journeyman License (or higher)
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in commercial or industrial settings
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong problem-solving abilities with proven capability to analyze system operations and determine root cause of malfunctions

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching systems, motor controls, and wire single/three-phase motors throughout the facility
• Run conduit, pull wiring to machinery, and troubleshoot electrical systems to diagnose and resolve malfunctions efficiently
• Monitor, repair, and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning, boilers, and HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Perform preventative maintenance on all building equipment, recording readings and documenting system operations for compliance and reliability
• Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and replace bearings, seals, and related components as needed
• Install and repair plumbing, piping, tubing, valves, filters, hot water systems, and associated controls
• Comply with safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and organized workplace
