Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery.
• Strong reading of blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work in varied conditions and to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery regularly to identify malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot to diagnose issues and plan repairs.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art equipment and systems, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a vast array of machinery. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail. With your expertise, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines, leading to the production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose faulty machinery and systems, then develop plans for their repair.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with production staff to understand and fix equipment problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including routine inspection reports.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in machinery maintenance and repair.
• Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
• Recommend improvements to enhance equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain current knowledge in the field.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have their own tools
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to work in various conditions, including heat, cold, and dust, and be able to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in the manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
