Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a permanent, second shift or weekend role with a well-established US-based manufacturer. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair a range of industrial equipment, ensuring safe, continuous operation in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills, a solid background in safety protocols, and a proven track record with blueprints and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial maintenance with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Proven maintenance experience with troubleshooting and blueprints.
• Experience welding, plumbing, using hand and power tools, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance to keep machines and systems running smoothly.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, and replace filters per checklists.
• Use hand/power tools and electrical testing devices as needed.
• Install or repair wiring, plumbing, or equipment components.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals.
• Test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and reassemble equipment.
• Maintain specialized equipment across various facilities.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, working on the 2nd shift or weekends, offering a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will be instrumental in ensuring seamless operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a keen eye for problem-solving and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
2. Inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other maintenance actions, following checklists.
3. Using tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
4. Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
5. Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
6. Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
7. Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
8. Maintaining and repairing specialized equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, or factories.
9. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
2. Proven experience in equipment maintenance, with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair, with the ability to read and understand blueprints.
4. Experience with welding, plumbing, and the use of hand and power tools.
5. Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
6. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
9. A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
