We are currently seeking a Mechanic to work at our Berlin, PA facility. The candidate will be responsible for installing all types of equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing and modifying equipment. Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm) or 3rd shift (11 pm - 7 am) are required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair processing and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs (not required but preferred)
• Use sound judgment to diagnose issues, determine necessary repairs, and rebuild equipment
• Perform modifications and new designs using blueprints, electrical, electronics, welding, torch work, lathe work, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pipe fittings
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders for maintenance and service
• Adhere to policies, guidelines, and safety procedures such as GMP and HACCP
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience with electrical systems up to 480 VAC, electronics, welding (ARC, MIG, TIG), torch cutting, lathe work, hydraulics, plumbing, and pneumatics
• Preferred experience in industrial wiring, controls, adjustable drives, and PLC Control Logix systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with all employee levels
• Focus on quality assurance and safety
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift
