Job Title: Mobile Diesel Mechanic

Join Interstate Fleet Services as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in the Bridgeport, CT area. We are a leader in fleet repair, offering an immediate opportunity for qualified candidates.

Job Description

You will work remotely, on call, traveling to customer sites to perform emergency repairs on commercial trucks and trailers. Repairs include, but are not limited to, no starts, brakes, compressed air systems, tires, electrical issues, hydraulic lines, and trailer repairs.

Responsibilities include communicating with dispatchers and customers during each job.

Qualifications

• Reside in or near Bridgeport, CT
• Valid driver’s license (NO CDL required)
• Own basic hand tools (up to 1 inch drive)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Tech, in a shop or mobile service; recent diesel school graduates are welcome
• Willing to work irregular on-call hours in all weather conditions
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and random testing thereafter
• Maintain professionalism when dealing with customers
