Put your career into gear with Interstate Fleet Services, a leader in the fleet repair industry. We have an immediate opening for a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in our Albany, NY area operation.

Job Details:

• Work from home and be on call (no office to report to). Drive to customer breakdown or work-site locations upon dispatch to perform emergency repairs on commercial trucks, trailers, etc.
• Repairs include, but are not limited to: no starts, brakes, compressed air systems, tires, electrical repairs, trailer repairs, hydraulic line replacements.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers throughout each job.

Requirements:

• Must live in or near the Albany, NY area.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (NO CDL required).
• Own all basic hand tools up to 1 inch drive.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Service Tech in a shop or mobile road service. Recent diesel school graduates are welcome to apply.
• Willing to work irregular on-call hours in all weather conditions.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and all subsequent random tests.
• Maintain professionalism when dealing with customers.
