Job summary

Alta Forest Products is seeking a Maintenance Manager to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities across the mill, including mechanical and electrical systems. You will lead a team, develop preventive maintenance programs, manage spare parts inventory, and partner with purchasing to optimize costs.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with corporate programs, and continuous improvement to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes and take corrective action.
• 5+ years experience maintaining mechanical and/or electrical industrial systems preferred.
• 3+ years of directly related maintenance management experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of plant equipment, predictive/preventative maintenance systems, and project management practices.
• Strong MS Office skills, with at least Intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, and related maintenance in the facility.
• Ensure safety of all team members and contractors by enforcing safety rules and improving processes.
• Develop and lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs and inventory procedures.
• Supervise maintenance crew to meet production goals and manage projects.
• Identify and plan modifications to improve efficiency and safety of the mill.
• Interface with other departments to meet deadlines and priorities.
• Maintain training records for millwrights and electricians.
