Job summary

Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy in Council Bluffs, IA, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance department, drive reliability, and manage the plant's largest controllable cost center. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role reporting to the Chief of Operations.

This role leads through supervisors and contractors, plans outages and projects, owns the maintenance budget, and collaborates with Operations and Engineering to keep critical equipment running efficiently while

Qualifications

• Lead and develop a maintenance team across mechanical, electrical/I&E/utility, and storeroom.
• Own and manage the annual maintenance budget; forecast monthly and explain variances.
• Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance programs and CMMS; ensure work orders are planned and closed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team and coordinate with supervisors, planners, and contractors.
• Own the preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Plan outages, scope, contractors, parts, schedule and budget.
• Track maintenance KPIs (uptime, PM compliance, backlog, MTBF).
• Manage vendor/contractor relationships and ensure safe operation of the plant.
