Job summary

Cota Coaching & Consulting partners with a growing Sioux Falls manufacturing company to hire a Maintenance Manager. You will lead a maintenance team, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, strong leadership, and collaboration with production and safety teams. This on-site position offers daytime hours and a salary of $100,000–$110,000 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance with strong mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience leading, supervising, or directing maintenance staff.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Willingness to hands-on maintenance and repairs when needed.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team through coaching, training, and direction to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and assist with hands-on repairs when necessary.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance schedules, staffing, work orders, and resources to support production needs.
• Ensure safety procedures, including OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout practices, are followed.
• Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, maintenance expenses, and equipment improvement projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with production, safety, quality, and leadership teams to support plant performance.
