Job summary

Macy's is hiring a Manager, Maintenance to lead the day-to-day maintenance of the distribution center. You will oversee a team, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will diagnose issues, implement improvements, and collaborate with IT and engineering on system refinements. Ideal candidates have electrical/mechanical engineering experience, PLC knowledge, leadership ability, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
• Strong PLC knowledge and controller understanding.
• Ability to lead and develop a maintenance team.
• Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a maintenance team in the distribution facility to meet goals and targets.
• Collaborate with operations to support DC logistics functions and bridge requirements with MHE capabilities.
• Maintain building and equipment to safe, efficient conditions at optimal cost.
• Maintain MHE and PIT equipment within OEM safety specs.
• Lead CMMS practices and preventative maintenance programs.
• Promote safe work practices and continuity across Macy's Supply Chain.
• Train, develop and supervise maintenance staff.
• Analyze processes for optimization and implement improvements.
• Communicate with senior management as needed.
• Ensure clear shift handoffs and effective cross-functional communication.
• Manage inventory for supplies and equipment.
• Drive continuous improvements in facility and equipment performance.
• Create safe work environment and enforce safety programs.
