Maintenance Manager – Lead the Heart of a High-Performance Operation

Pay Range: $100,000 – $130,000 per year

Location: Eastern Shore | On-site

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to take full ownership of plant assets, drive continuous improvement, and make a visible difference every day in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving real problems, and leading from the front—while also thinking strategically about cost control, asset life, and long-term performance.

What You’ll Do

Own Equipment Reliability

• Take full responsibility for the performance, availability, and care of all production and material-handling equipment.
• Design, execute, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Balance production needs with maintenance execution to minimize downtime and cost.

Lead Safety & Compliance

• Set the standard for maintenance safety, including lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and equipment guarding.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, fire protection, and insurance requirements.
• Champion housekeeping and asset care with a strong safety-first mindset.

Build and Lead the Team

• Lead, coach, and develop a skilled maintenance team and outside contractors.
• Set clear expectations and drive accountability, urgency, and ownership.
• Optimize staffing, shift coverage, and overtime to support production goals.
• Identify skill gaps and implement targeted training plans.

Control Costs & Plan Effectively

• Own the maintenance budget, including labor, parts, services, and capital repairs.
• Develop spare parts and inventory strategies that protect uptime without tying up excess capital.
• Partner with Operations and Finance to forecast spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to improve throughput, yield, and reliability.
• Support equipment upgrades and capital projects from installation through startup.
• Implement best-in-class maintenance practices, standard work, and performance metrics.
• Track KPIs such as uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and planned vs. unplanned maintenance.
