Job summary

Village Green is seeking a Maintenance Service Manager to oversee the maintenance department and ensure the apartment community remains in top condition. You will supervise staff, delegate work orders, and manage budgets with a focus on energy efficiency.

You will apply HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, and appliance expertise, mentor technicians, participate in interviews, and drive preventative maintenance and capital projects to maintain a best-in-class community.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, apartment, hospital maintenance/engineering with 2 years supervisory experience leading a team.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to create a team, mentor and train a team.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of Maintenance staff including delegation of work orders and time management.
• Inspect and oversee existing and completed work orders.
• Address HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance and other service requests.

As the Maintenance ServiceManager, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the apartment community.

Job Description

• Daily supervision of Maintenance staff members including delegation of work orders, special projects and time management techniques
• Inspection and oversight of existing and completed work orders
• HVAC, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
• Mentoring and training new and existing maintenance staff members
• Involvement with interviewing and selection of new maintenance team members
• Provides written monthly energy management recommendations for the building
• Identifies capital improvements and obtain required estimates/bids
• Assists in budget preparation for maintenance expenses

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel, apartment, hospital maintenance/engineering with 2 years supervisory experience leading a team.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to create a team, mentor and train a team
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, appliances, water heaters, chillers/boilers and H.V.A.C. H.V.A.C. or EPA Universal Certification a must.
• Proven track record managing a preventative maintenance program and experience with capital projects.
