Job summary

Village Green in Cleveland is seeking a Maintenance Service Manager to oversee the maintenance department and ensure the apartment community remains well-maintained and in excellent working order.

You will supervise daily maintenance staff, inspect work orders, mentor team members, participate in interviewing new hires, provide energy-management recommendations, and assist with budgeting and capital improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 years supervisory experience in maintenance/engineering.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to build, mentor, and train a team.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing, appliances, water heaters, boilers and HVAC; EPA certification required.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of maintenance staff and delegation of work orders.
• Inspect and oversee progress of ongoing and completed work orders.
• Handle HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and other service requests.
• Mentor and train new and existing maintenance staff.
• Assist in interviewing and selecting new maintenance team members.

• Identify capital improvements and obtain estimates/bids.
• Assist in budget preparation for maintenance expenses.

As the Maintenance ServiceManager, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the apartment community.

Job Description

• Daily supervision of Maintenance staff members including delegation of work orders, special projects and time management techniques

• HVAC, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel, apartment, hospital maintenance/engineering with 2 years supervisory experience leading a team.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to create a team, mentor and train a team
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, appliances, water heaters, chillers/boilers and H.V.A.C. H.V.A.C. or EPA Universal Certification a must.
• Proven track record managing a preventative maintenance program and experience with capital projects.
