Randstad USA in Madera, CA is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team for manufacturing operations, fleet, and mobile equipment at the Madera facility. The role focuses on optimizing asset availability, reducing downtime, and maintaining safety and environmental compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance leadership in industrial manufacturing, with knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, 3-phase electrical systems, CMMS, and PM scheduling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, 3-phase electrical systems (up to 480V), mechanical drives, and conveyor systems.
• Proficient in CMMS, inventory controls, and PM program scheduling.
• Associate degree or Journeyman credentials, or equivalent hands-on experience/certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team to drive high performance and accountability.
• Manage daily repair activities, PM schedules, and equipment overhauls for extrusion lines and plant fleet.
• Develop vendor relationships and track maintenance KPIs to reduce asset downtime.
• Ensure machinery, safety guards, and procedures comply with OSHA and EHS protocols.
• Implement maintenance strategies and root-cause analysis to eliminate recurring failures.

Position Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Madera, CA

Job Type: Full-time

The Maintenance Manager oversees all preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities for manufacturing operations, fleet, and mobile equipment at the Madera facility. This role leads the maintenance team, optimizes asset availability, minimizes downtime, and maintains safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor maintenance mechanics, technicians, and supervisors to drive high performance and accountability.
• Operational Execution: Manage daily repair activities, preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, and equipment overhauls for extrusion lines, heavy machinery, forklifts, and plant fleet.
• Downtime & Expense Control: Develop vendor relationships, source replacement parts cost-effectively, and track maintenance KPIs to reduce asset downtime.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all machinery, safety guards, and procedures comply with OSHA standards and company EHS protocols.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement maintenance strategies, continuous improvement programs, and root-cause analysis to eliminate recurring equipment failures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (plastic extrusion, corrugated pipe, or heavy industrial experience preferred).
• Technical Mastery: working knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, 3-phase electrical systems (up to 480V), mechanical drives, and conveyor systems.
• Systems & Tools: Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), inventory controls, and PM program scheduling.
• Education: Associate degree in technical field, Journeyman credentials, or equivalent hands-on experience/certifications.
