Job summary

Reflections Retirement Community seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to oversee safety and a preventative maintenance program at Brookstone Estates of Harrisburg, IL. The role includes leading the maintenance team, training staff, and performing hands-on duties with the team.

The ideal candidate has HVAC/electrical experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid license, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to mentor and inspire a compassionate team dedicated to resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required.
• Prior senior living experience desired.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment.
• Maintains preventative maintenance program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Hires, trains, schedules and leads the maintenance team.
• Approximately 20% of hours spent performing maintenance with the team.
• Completes maintenance requests, scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and ensures proper storage/use procedures.
• Implements safety protocols per OSHA requirements.
• Performs exterior maintenance as needed.
• Delivers fire and disaster education and conducts drills with residents and team.
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and supportive manner reflecting values of love and dignity.

Job Details: Job Location: Brookstone Estates of Harrisburg - Harrisburg, IL 62946, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.00 Hourly

Responsibilities:

• Oversees Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
• Approximately 20% of hours will be spent performing maintenance responsibilities alongside the team
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
• Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
• Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
• Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
