The Maintenance Manager has oversight formechanical/electrical maintenance activities over multi-shift operation, in support of ELM long/short-term objectives. Initiates and executes the preventative maintenance schedule throughout ELM Site, collaborating with Production Planning to maximize production. Ensure staffing requirements meet production needs. Site Champion of the Total Productive Management (TPM) Program. Responsible for spare parts inventories and non-stock items. Schedule vendor activities and work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Purchasing on special projects and new equipment installations. Works with Plant Safety to ensure a safe working environment is maintained. Responsible for managing Maintenance Department budget. Responsible for and responds to facilities maintenance emergencies throughout ELM Site during off-shift hours.

What you’ll do as a Maintenance Manager :

  • Direct/supervise Maintenance Department in multi-shift operation
  • Manage tooling/spare parts inventories
  • Expedite non-stock parts to maintain equipment
  • Schedule/track material handling equipment repair
  • Execute new equipment installation and processes
  • Manage ELM Site plant shutdown and coordinate activities/processes
  • Maintain SAP (Maintenance Management System) configuration/use
  • Collaborate with Facility Engineering on project execution
  • Conduct safety observations, inspections, analysis, and safety meetings
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional TPM Teams throughout ELM Site
  • Support, lead and/or participate in Kaizen events cross-functionally throughout ELM Site
  • Schedule equipment safety activities/repairs throughout ELM Site
  • Set and monitor Plant Maintenance budget
  • Initiate purchase requisitions & approve invoiced payments
  • Drive success with direct reports through coaching/communication, management of performance, individual development, and reward and recognition
  • Develop and maintain effective functional and cross-functional relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Maintain collaborative relationship with Union membership
  • Schedule vendors for production equipment maintenance

We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager with:

  • 8 years industrial plant maintenance experience with a minimum of five years in Industrial Management in a fast-paced Union environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical processes in the Maintenance field
  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Risk Analysis
  • Decision making
  • SAP Maintenance Module
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proactive, organized and results oriented with a high commitment to the business.

Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires:

  • Communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others
  • Ability to perform sedentary work on various computer systems
  • This position is located on-site in our East Longmeadow facility
