Job summary

Greystar seeks a maintenance professional to oversee and perform technical work ensuring community buildings, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will diagnose resident requests, manage make-ready tasks, and maintain inventory and preventative maintenance schedules while coordinating with vendors as needed. This role requires safety awareness and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law, and be proficient with hand/power tools and measuring devices.
• Strong reading/writing skills and ability to communicate with residents and team members.
• Proficiency in basic math for administrative and financial tasks.
• Knowledge of safety standards and code requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in units, grounds, and common areas per policies and safety codes.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant apartments and coordinate vendors as needed.
• Set cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and signage to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspect work of others and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate supply orders with budget in mind.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in developing budgets for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-saving efforts by repairing instead of replacing when feasible.
• Contribute to safety meetings and ensure MSDS are current and accessible.
