Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical tasks across community buildings, grounds, and amenities. You will diagnose resident requests, repair items, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and high-quality maintenance across the property.

Responsibilities include making-ready vacant units, inspecting contracted work, managing tools and inventories, and supporting budgeting and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and use of hand/power tools safety.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively for policies and interactions.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs and property management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspect work of other team members and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in developing budgets for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when possible.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents and staff.
