Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Maintenance Lead near Reno, Nevada, to manage repair and preventive maintenance across the facility. The role requires directing teams, troubleshooting equipment, and documenting procedures to improve uptime and product quality.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance shifts (Days, C-Shift 7AM-7PM), coordinating with planners, and developing staff through training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience performing preventative maintenance
• Experience reading blueprints
• Sensitivity to customer needs and delivery requirements
• Ability to work weekends and/or overtime as needed
• Effective communication with all team levels
• Good attendance
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Working-level English language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct, and hold accountable maintenance teams on shift for planned and emergency maintenance
• Evaluate and develop hourly personnel training to improve maintenance skills
• Assess maintenance impact on uptime, throughput, and quality
• Update maintenance system daily for the responsible shift
• Maintain Workday daily for the responsible shift
• Communicate daily activity of work orders with Planners and Production Supervisors
• Lead troubleshooting and resolve issues with available resources
• Execute shift plan for planned work orders, PM, training, and capital projects
• Participate in PM development and maintenance budget management
• Lead RCA application to resolve technical problems
• IL6S progression and continuous improvement
• Identify cost savings opportunities
• Manage predictive and preventative maintenance programs
• Review work requisitions and prioritize assignments
