Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is hiring a Maintenance Lead to oversee rotating shifts (7AM–7PM) in the Maintenance-Electrode department near Reno, NV. You will coordinate maintenance teams, drive uptime, and ensure adherence to PM schedules, while mentoring staff and managing budgets.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Must have working-level knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct, and hold accountable the maintenance teams on shift to perform planned and emergency maintenance.
• Evaluate hourly personnel to determine training needs and develop skills.
• Assess maintenance impact on uptime, throughput, and product quality.
• Update Workday daily for the responsible shift.
• Coordinate shift-to-shift handoffs with Planners and Production Supervisors.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and use available resources to fix issues quickly.
• Execute shift plan for planned work orders, PM, training, and capital projects.
• Participate in PM development and maintenance budget management with Planners.
• Lead RCA applications to resolve technical problems in packing, process, warehouse, and utilities.
• Identify continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
