Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America in Sparks, NV is seeking a Technician I for the Maintenance department. The role involves leading on-shift maintenance activities, performing troubleshooting, and coordinating preventive maintenance to ensure uptime and quality.

Expect to work a C shift with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives. Required are 2+ years in manufacturing, blueprints reading, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Ability to work weekends and/or overtime as needed.
• Excellent communication and interaction across all levels.
• Proficient MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must have working-level English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct, and hold accountable maintenance teams on shift to perform planned and emergency maintenance.
• Evaluate hourly personnel training needs and develop their maintenance skills.
• Assess maintenance impact on uptime, throughput, and product quality.
• Update the computerized maintenance system daily for the shift.
• Maintain Workday HRIS labor tracking daily for the shift.
• Communicate daily activity of work orders with Planners and Production Supervisors.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and utilize all resources to resolve issues promptly.
• Execute shift plans for planned work orders, PM, training, and capital projects.
• Participate in PM development and maintenance budgeting with Planners.
• Lead RCA to resolve technical problems in packing, process, warehouse, and utilities.
• Support IL6S progression and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Review and coordinate work requisitions and related requests.
