Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee and perform a wide range of technical and mechanical tasks on the property. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and manage make-ready preparations for new move-ins across stabilized mid-rise Communities.

The role requires hands-on experience in painting, plumbing and electrical repairs, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently while meeting safety and quality standards at a busy San Jose property.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience in painting, plumbing and electrical repairs, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and stay organized while managing multiple work orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform work orders and preventative maintenance while diagnosing defects and performing repairs.
• Lead the make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate schedules with vendors.
• Manage materials, tools, and inventory for maintenance tasks.
• Monitor inspections via property platforms and ensure compliance with policies and codes.
• Complete documentation timely to track service requests.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities including painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost-saving measures by repairing instead of replacing parts where possible.
