Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on production machinery, diagnose and repair equipment, and respond to urgent repair needs during manufacturing.

The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and quality teams. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with PLCs and SCADA, and a track record of reducing downtime in automated food processing environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably automated food processing.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery including conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency unscheduled repairs during production to prevent disruptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, ensuring sanitation and safety standards.
• Document maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and inventory in the CMMS.
