Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our food manufacturing equipment and facilities running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, coordinating with production, and adhering to GMP, HACCP, OSHA safety standards. This on-site position offers a day-to-day impact on production efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
• 5 years’ related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
• 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery (conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, refrigeration).
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions; implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency unscheduled repairs during production.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation, complying with GMP/HACCP/OSHA.
• Monitor and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems to support safe environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols including lockout/tagout, PPE usage.
• Document maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
• Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Train production staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
