Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our food manufacturing operations.

The role combines hands-on equipment maintenance, problem solving, and strict adherence to sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced plant environment. You will perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, mixers, packaging lines, and HVAC systems, diagnose and repair issues, document work in CMMS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Technical school education, preferred.
• 5 years’ related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably automated food processing.
• 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the production area per GMP/HACCP.
• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to support safe operation.
• Document maintenance work orders and equipment history in the CMMS.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
