Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to keep our food manufacturing equipment running smoothly and safely. You will perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, mixers, packaging and refrigeration systems, diagnose issues, and implement repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, PLC/SCADA know-how, and commitment to GMP/HACCP and safety standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical school education is preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• 5 years’ experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize downtime and keep production on schedule.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the production area per GMP/HACCP.
• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure safe operations.
• Document maintenance work orders, inspections, and parts usage.
• Coordinate with production to prioritize tasks and minimize disruptions.
• Follow lockout/tagout and PPE protocols; participate in safety trainings.
