Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Technician to coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensure equipment reliability, and collaborate with engineering and production teams. Qualifications

• High school diploma plus an accredited apprenticeship program.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of machine functions, equipment processes, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledgeable of electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the daily activities of the maintenance repair function.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently via preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to set priorities and maintain clear communication.
• Coordinate internal projects with the engineering team.
• Troubleshoot equipment failure and perform root cause analysis.
• Provide technical assistance, coordinate maintenance activities, and direct workflow to support production.
• Verify compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Create, review, modify, reclassify, and cancel work orders in CMMS as required.
• Interface with CMMS Administrator to improve spare part inventory.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and repair work requiring downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance requirements for new machinery design and upgrades.
• Assist in planning and training maintenance technicians.
• Procure parts, supplies, and fabrication material for projects.

Education
