Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee facility and production equipment maintenance, driving safety and reliability in our Georgia facility.

The role collaborates with the Facility and Maintenance Manager, mentors a maintenance team, manages budgets, and leads preventative maintenance, with a focus on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including CNC and PLC equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 10+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Journeyman certification or apprenticeship completed preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 79 and robust mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic expertise.
• 1–2 years supervisory or lead experience preferred; strong communication skills.
• Ability to assist with budget preparation, cost tracking, and project planning.

Responsibilities

• Work with Facility and Maintenance Manager to operate and repair facility and production equipment.
• Mentor, train, and coach direct reports; elevate issues as needed.
• Assist with cost accounting, budgeting, and project planning; monitor expenditures.
• Perform skilled maintenance on structures, electrical, heating, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment and PLC systems; install, teardown, and relocate equipment.
• Maintain forklifts, perform machine shop fabrication and repairs; conduct advanced preventative maintenance.
