Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and building systems in the Automated Warehouse Facility. You will supervise staff, participate hands-on, and ensure cost-effective maintenance programs that meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates with a High School Diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
• 2-5 years experience in operation and maintenance of a warehouse/distribution center.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design, maintenance, and repair of automated equipment.
• OSHA and safety standards knowledge required.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, safety rules, and manuals in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns, and inspects the work of the maintenance staff.
• Participates hands-on in maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
• Prepares estimates for hours, materials, and resources; initiates requisitions.
• Develops preventive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and facilities.
• Prepares progress reports and analyzes maintenance activity.
• Maintains cost-effective spare parts inventory and minimizes downtime.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and related safety programs.
• Budgets and tracks maintenance expenses; assists with annual budgets.
• Trains personnel and fosters an inclusive team environment.
