Job summary

Mid City Scrap in Westport, MA is seeking a Maintenance Inventory Administrator to organize and manage maintenance parts, supplies, and records. You will support the maintenance team by ensuring parts are stocked, tracked, and documented, while coordinating with vendors and handling purchase orders in an industrial yard environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and proficient with inventory software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage maintenance inventory and purchase orders.
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Comfort in industrial environment and safety procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized maintenance inventory system, parts room and warehouse.
• Process files for inventory records, POs, invoices and vendor data.
• Create and submit maintenance purchase orders for parts and tools.
• Receive shipments, verify quantities and document received goods.
• Travel to local vendors for parts sourcing and pickups.
• Monitor open orders and coordinate with vendors on delivery.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to identify stock needs and reorder points.
• Keep storage areas clean and safe; follow safety procedures.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager.
