Job summary

OSI Group Batavia, IL is seeking a Maintenance Parts Inventory Technician to assist with controls of the maintenance parts inventory and PM documentation for the facility. You will work under the Maintenance Manager and coordinate with mechanics and vendors regarding parts.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, strong organizational skills, and basic computer skills to operate the CMMS and MS Office. forklift operation may be required and SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify maintenance parts.
• Strong organizational skills to catalog and store parts.
• Basic computer skills to use the maintenance management system.
• Proficiency with MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with controls of maintenance parts inventory and PM documentation for the facility.
• Communicate with management, coworkers, and vendors about parts, exchanges, receiving or issuing items.
• Organize maintenance parts inventory and ensure proper identification and storage.
• Move parts as needed using a forklift or dolly.
• Support day‑to‑day purchasing of maintenance parts for the plant.
• Maintain adequate inventories as directed by management.
• Monitor and control disbursement of parts to mechanics.
• Reorder parts based on min/max settings in the CMMS.
• Perform regular cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
• Add or delete parts in inventory as equipment changes.
• Generate reports on stockroom activities and costs.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the parts room.
• Create work schedules and document PM activities in the CMMS.
• Maintain records of all maintenance activities in the CMMS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
