Job summary

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of safety requirements in mechanical/construction trades (training or experience).

• Experience interpreting sketches, blueprints, work orders, or building codes (education or hobby acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Replace switches, fixtures, motors, fans, and filters in facilities.
• Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures and water heaters.
• Patch holes in walls using sheetrock or plaster.
• Maintain and repair HVAC equipment including compressors and dryers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical and kitchen equipment.
• Recommend repairs or replacement and maintain maintenance records.
• Supervise and direct resident workers during tasks.
• Monitor residents and conduct searches for weapons or contraband as needed.
