Job summary

The Corrections environment is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor to oversee maintenance, repairs, and inspections of housing units and facilities at a federal institution in Lexington, Kentucky.

You will supervise civilian journeyman level supervisors who oversee an inmate workforce, with regular rotation across locations and responsibilities maintaining institutional security and compliance with agency policies.

Qualifications

• Sufficient training and experience to perform the duties of the position.
• Qualifications determined by responses to the Applicant Assessment Questions against the WS-4749 guidelines.
• Must meet Barely Acceptable level on (Ability to supervise) and (Aptitude for work with prisoners); provide detailed resume information to support assessment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance mechanics, including construction, repair, and inspection of housing units and buildings.
• Oversee an inmate workforce via civilian journeyman level supervisors.
• Rotate through multiple locations as needed and maintain security responsibilities as a staff member.
