Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and preventive maintenance across residential communities. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and ensure spaces meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include make-ready tasks for vacant units, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining tools and inventory. The role requires attention to safety, strong customer service, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and use them safely.
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and team.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certifications may be required for HVAC work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform routine maintenance.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling contractors.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, and common areas to Greystar standards.
• Inspect work of other team members and contractors to ensure quality and safety.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and maintenance and support cost-control initiatives.
