Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living seeks a facilities supervisor to manage associates responsible for general operating maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, local standards and company policies.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff; directing interior and exterior upkeep; inspecting work; overseeing HVAC, elevator, fire and other systems; coordinating resident repairs; and responding to emergencies as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–3 years related experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license for vehicle travel as needed.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff including hiring and training.
• Direct workers in interior and exterior upkeep of the community.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
• Oversee HVAC, elevator, fire/sprinkler, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment.
• Coordinate resident repairs in rooms (plumbing, electrical, heating, bulbs).
• Assess plumbing and electrical issues and determine best course of action.
• Ensure adherence to codes and review safety data for hazardous chemicals.
• File property damage claims per policy.
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed.
