Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor in Huntsville, AL, to lead mechanical, electrical and facilities teams ensuring reliable operation of equipment and compliance.

You will oversee maintenance programs, manage contractors, and drive safety and efficiency through planning and resource management. You will influence equipment reliability and facility performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or certificate, or 5+ years of combined supervisory/technical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance supervisory and/or technical experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety guidelines (Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout, OSHA 30-hour).
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings and tooling prints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to lead maintenance or technical teams in manufacturing.
• Metalworking knowledge (welding/fabrication) preferred.
• Availability and willingness to work overtime, including on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical, electrical, facilities, maintenance, and contracted personnel.
• Establish and manage predictive and preventive maintenance programs, schedules, and records.
• Prepare work schedules, assign resources, and develop solutions to maintenance issues.
• Lead facility and equipment improvement projects, relocations, and installations.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Identify risks and implement corrective action and improvement plans.
• Support procurement and oversight of external contractors for projects.
• Collect and analyze operational data to support recommendations.
