Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to maintain the store's HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems. The role involves preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Ability to travel between locations and work a flexible schedule is required. Ideal candidates will hold an EPA Universal Certification (license preferred) and have strong troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills to support store operations and

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required or license (preferred) with HVAC knowledge.
• Experience maintaining HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire/life safety systems.
• Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing.
• Flexibility to work days/evenings/weekends and travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems to maximize efficiency.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs.
• Keep accurate records of inspections and maintenance for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and fire marshal requirements.
• Travel between store and building locations as needed.
• Assist in improving safety and energy efficiency.
