Job summary

Macy's is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to uphold the store's critical systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance and timely repairs to ensure safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong plumbing background and basic HVAC knowledge, an EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. This is a full-time on-site position at Macy's.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required or in progress.
• Strong background in plumbing and basic HVAC knowledge.
• EPA regulations and South Coast Air Quality District regulations familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems and related equipment.
• Perform emergency, corrective and routine repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment per schedule.
• Keep accurate records of inspections and repairs for compliance.
• Maintain EPA refrigerant handling compliance and related regulations.
• Follow shortage control programs and procedures.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Foster respectful environment with colleagues and customers.
