Qualifications

• EPA certification required for handling refrigerants.
• 5+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience with air/water-cooled chiller systems and monitoring tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication for customer interactions.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution and control equipment.
• Understanding of BMS strategies and low/control voltage troubleshooting.
• Ability to collaborate across departments to meet deadlines.
• Project management skills to drive operational improvements.
• Analytical problem-solving using data and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose, and troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment (packaged units, RTUs, chillers).
• Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain logs for boilers, chillers, and pressure vessels.
• Use CMMS to complete work orders timely.
• Perform maintenance on electrical systems (transformers, switchgear, MCCs).
• Install or replace Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Monitor BAS for HVAC and electrical equipment and troubleshoot sensors/actuators.
• Evaluate and implement new HVAC/electrical technologies.
• Train and mentor other colleagues.
• Communicate ideas effectively to peers, management, customers.
• Work with on-site installation personnel to ensure standards.
• Foster an inclusive environment and strong relationships.
