Grand Victorian of Crystal Lake is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for full-time work in Crystal Lake, IL. The role focuses on safety, systems maintenance, and leading a maintenance team to ensure a secure, well-functioning living environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee community safety program and maintain secure resident environment in line with policy.
• Maintain and troubleshoot community HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads maintenance team to deliver high-quality services.
• Repair, replace, or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls.
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and related equipment.
• Care for community plumbing systems and ensure regular maintenance.
• Process maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, promptly.
• Conduct inventory and proper storage of chemical supplies; ensure OSHA compliance.
• Perform exterior maintenance and safety drills with residents and staff.
• Engage with residents in a compassionate manner reflecting values of love and dignity.

Job Details: Job Location: CRYSTAL LAKE, IL 60012, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $27.00 - $29.00 Hourly

Responsibilities:

• Oversees Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment
• Maintain community plumbing systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
• Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
• Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
• Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
• Prior senior living experience desired
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire
